Just a short walk away from the Avenidas, hidden in a maze of small streets, is a small plaza called Plaza Lorenc Bisbal. That is where you’ll find Se te va la tapa.
Although the name might sound a bit long and strange it is a funny Spanish pun. The original saying in Spanish is “se te va la olla” which literally means “your cooking pot is leaving” but the English equivalent would be “you are losing your marbles”, so the owner decided to replace olla with tapa and poof – an original name for a tapas bar was born.
On hot summer nights you can enjoy wide selection of tapas (including their famous chicken wings), bocadillos, pambolis and hamburgers with a little caña (small beer) on the terrace that opens up in front of the bar and enjoy an authentic Palma atmosphere secluded from the noisy centre. Every once in a while the bar hosts local musicians and the interior is full of art by local artists.
The great thing is this tapas bar is open all year round!
