Hidden Gems #16 The Village CafeJuly 4, 2016

For those of you who are already familiar with Deia, I am sure you will stumbled across this restaurant at some point and hopefully enjoyed a long lazy lunch or G&T on their large terrace. If you haven’t – or you are coming to Deia for the first time be sure to stop by at The Village Cafe. It’s always a hit with our team.

It is located down a small hill opposite BBVA bank in the centre of Deia – discretely positioned to the left hand side as you drop down. It is run by the very friendly Hungarian-Sweden coupling of Barna and Anahi – and offers a range of freshly made food in a tranquil setting.

There’s lots of great items on the menu – but the mixed tapas of local produce is always a hit to start – followed by the chicken burrito. There is also a menu dedicated just to gin & tonics – where different gins have been carefully paired with the tonic, herbs and fresh fruit – to get the taste just right. The serving size is as generous as ever in Spain too.
