Feeling festive or dare I say Scrooge-esque!? We all have our feelings and emotions about Christmas don’t we and what better way to propel your way through the festive season than to watch the all time classic ‘A Christmas Carol’ with friends and family at the Palma Auditorium.
First published on 19th December 1843 in Victorian London, the story has never been out of print and been adapted by many including the Muppets! It is a timeless tale of a bitter and miserly Ebenezer Scrooge and his awakening into a gentler and kinder man after being visited by three ghosts from his past, present and future. It is a strong message that translates even 170 years after publication and an important one, whatever age you are.
Interestingly 9 actors from a cast of 19 are residents in the Soller Valley. This will be their 7th production and the third time ISLA has produced ‘A Christmas Carol’. It is a truly international cast including 10 children representing the UK, USA, Denmark, Sweden, Germany, France, Mallorca and Czech.
The Isla Theatre Project (ISLA) promises a really feel good, uplifting show, including well known Christmas songs and a true-to-the-original script.
Book your tickets here and enjoy the opening night on Thursday 15th December at 18h. Tickets cost €20, or why not gather a group of 10+ people and pay a concession of €15 each.
Palma has an abundance of delicious restaurants to enjoy great food after the show. You can check out our Hidden Gems section of our blog for ideas.
