Want to book a holiday in Mallorca? With five years experience of living on the island, Nikol our rentals manager, shares her favourite things to do on the North-West coast 

One of the things I love most about about the island are the sunsets. I have lived here for five years now and I never tire of them. Every day at dusk the sky floods with different colours and my favourite thing to do is enjoy a glass of chilled cava on a nice terrace to witness the most beautiful sight Mallorca has to offer.

One of our luxury Deia rental homes ‘El Niu‘ offers one of the most amazing sunset views on the north west coast.

I would definitely book Louise Loni or one of her Spa@home team to come with her mobile massage bed and end the day with a relaxing massage. Or perhaps book Louise for a private yoga class on the terrace. She set up Mountain Yoga last year and her classes are great for yogis of all abilities.

Another way to enjoy the sunset to the max is a sunset sail with Mezzo Magic in Puerto de Soller. Make sure to ask owners Chris and Lisa and their team to take you for a snorkel to the secret lagoon. Enjoy complimentary snacks and cava/wine/beer and music on board.

Sunday night would be dedicated to a Sa Foradada sunset (a 5 minute drive from Deia village). This place buzzes on Sunday nights with a DJ and strawberry daiquiris to die for. This is the place to get your top holiday Instagram shot. Get there early to make sure you park and don’t forget to absorb the vibe without your phone.

If you are into art – like I am – make sure you try “The Heart of Art” tour with local artist Manuella Hollo. Visit local artist’s studios and have a relaxed “artsy” chat with them. They are all lovely people and will be happy to show you their work.

Looking at Deia’s fine selection of restaurants I find it hard to pick a place to dine in. My all time favourite is Sebastian’s. Rated #1 on tripadvisor they hard-earned their position of the best restaurant in Deia. Lovely Irish Patricia will greet you at the door and charming sommelier Enrico will help you choose the pefect wine with your dinner. Make sure you book ahead as they get super busy!
