One of the best things about heading off on holiday is breaking away from the daily grind and escaping the concrete towns and cities that we inhabit. In getting closer to nature we are able to relax and reconnect and what gives you more of a holiday vibe than being by the sea. A dip in the ocean can really refresh your body and mind.

“All of us have in our veins the exact same percentage of salt in our blood that exists in the ocean, and, therefore, we have salt in our blood, in our sweat, in our tears. We are tied to the ocean. And when we go back to the sea — whether it is to sail or to watch it — we are going back from whence we came.”

  • President John F. Kennedy

There are psychological benefits to water, especially the sea. Whenever I drive along the coastal road from Charles Marlow to Soller the view of the vast expanse of the Mediterranean instantly calms and nourishes my soul. Then actually swimming in it, well that’s something entirely different. One of my favourite things to do on a baking hot day is to head down to Llucalcari or Alconàsser with my snorkelling gear and dive into the clear blue water, it is utter bliss. The day’s stresses and worries instantly disintegrate as I submerge and float in the healing waves.

At Charles Marlow we offer a portfolio of luxury villas just waiting to be enjoyed by you, all of them unique and magical in their own way. Here’s a selection of our top 5 recommendations for luxury villas that are just moments from the beach.
