Hidden Gems # 17 Sailing in Soller with Mezzo MagicMay 15, 2017

Of all the possibilities of all the things to do on the island of Mallorca, sailing in Soller is one we highly recommend!

I’ve been lucky enough to go on a few trips with charter boat company Mezzo Magic and it is up there in my top ten life experiences, (others include a wildlife Safari, jumping out of a plane, seeing dolphins.. etc.!) trust me it is truly, truly magical.

The Charles Marlow team first met Chris Adamson the owner of Mezzo Magic last summer when we had a team day out. We were all very excited to board our boat ‘Francessa’ a Beneteau 50 in Port Soller in the sunshine. That particular day Chris and his friendly skipper Sven took us along the North West coast to the spectacular sparkling blue cave for snorkelling and an adrenalin rush (I won’t spoil the surprise for you) then we all attempted some water sports including water-skiing and wake boarding. We weren’t very successful at either but we had fun and built up an appetite trying.

With drinks and snacks flowing, music pumping out of the galley, sunshine, blue skies and a gentle warm breeze – we were all blown away by the magic of it all. And appreciated how great a day out on the water with friends truly makes you feel.

More recently a bunch of us from Deia went out on Mezzo Magic’s latest addition to its fleet, the beautiful Frida, a Lagoon 410 S2 catamaran. Cruising along on Frida to ‘Sa Foradada’ sipping cava in the Spring sunshine was, for all on board, an absolute thrill.
