Pernille Elvirose’s Art of Living retreats in Deia, between 18 and 23 September and 16 to 22 October are perfectly timed. As anyone who lives in Deia or visits the village knows, Deia possesses a magical quality of life. But, it must be said, summers here can be somewhat full on and, although great fun, a little bit exhausting.

I asked Pernille to tell me about the two upcoming Art of Living retreats.
What is the focus of the Art of Living retreats, Pernille?
They’re all about causing sustainable change. I create a retreat environment where togetherness is primary. We are together from early morning until evening, spending time being silent in nature but also talking, laughing and enjoying delicious healthy food. The aim is to create a kind of wave of wellbeing throughout the day, rather than breaking the day into rigid sessions – yoga in the morning, lunch, relaxation, another class.
What can people expect?
To be inspired and feel like they’re coming home to themselves and their bodies. We’ll be detoxing our bodies and learning about super foods but also detoxing our minds. I say that we’re going away to come home.
How many times have you offered Art of Living retreats in Deia?
For the past six years. I love the magic, the peacefulness and the colourful people in the community. I felt the energy here the moment I arrived and immediately wanted to bring people back with me to feel and experience this hidden treasure. Deia feels like my place and it’s as I’m passing on something very precious, not just my own teaching, vision and mission but the power of the mountains and the sea. This north-west coastline is one of my favourite places in the world.
Thank you, Pernille. I certainly agree.
Deia’s own Robin Johnson will be offering her amazing massages at the Art of Living retreats, which is another great reason to book your place now.
There are still one or two places left for the retreats. Contact Pernille at info@core-living.dk or call +45 20 49 05 55 to find out more.
