We are happy to announce that we are in the need of a new sales & rentals assistant for our office in Mallorca – part time or full time. You will be helping us with both sales and rentals – and more. We started Charles Marlow & Bros in 2013, an independent estate agency with an office in the stunningly beautiful village of Deia on The West Coast of Mallorca.

Today we are a team of six spread across the Balearic Islands specialising in luxury sales and rentals in Ibiza as well as Mallorca. We sum up our approach to our work as “Mastering the Art of Real Estate”. We are constantly learning, adapting and innovating – which keeps things interesting. We strive to offer exceptional service for those looking to buy or rent a home here. We are proud to be the most trusted agency in the areas where we operate.

Working as a Sales & Rentals Assistant with Charles Marlow & Bros

As we grow we need additional support across the business. Therefore, this will be a varied role with 3 key responsibilities:

  • Working with and supporting the sales teams
  • Working with and supporting the rentals teams
  • Additional project work that supports the wider team in general

As we are a small company you will start out by getting an insight into all areas of the business, so you have a good understanding of how the business operates and why we work in that way.

Then your focus at any given time will be determined by the needs of the business and which areas are most active. Rentals would be the most likely starting place, it is the fastest growing part of the business.

The role would be very varied – one day you might be with the photographers to ensure a new listing is well presented. Another day you may be preparing shortlists to help our clients find their dream holiday place. Or perhaps you will be leaving hampers for them at the properties when they check-in. No single day is the same, and your role will be developed with both your and the company’s interests in focus.

You would also slowly become responsible for projects that cover all areas of the business, like our internal reporting or continuously developing the document where all the processes within the business are kept up to date.

What we are looking for in a Sales & Rentals Assistant

You are:

  • Smart and quick to learn new things
  • Able to work in a systematic manner and organised manner, with experience in balancing multiple responsibilities and projects at once
  • A fan of processes and procedures, and understand the vital role they play in a successful business
  • Very comfortable using Excel, Dropbox, and ideally project management tools like Asana
  • A real team player, and a true people’s person with a good sense of humour
  • Fluent in Spanish (ideally) and other languages are a bonus
  • Appreciative of great architecture and beautiful homes
  • Passionate about leaving the planet better than you found it – something we care a lot about
  • Based in Mallorca, or easily able to move and live there. Can travel to Deia at least 2 to 3 times a week
  • Able to work for at least 15/20 hours per week to start, with the option to grow into full time capacity
