This spacious and airy home is in the best location in Deia (an area we call High Deia) which enjoys a south-westerly aspect and all day-long sunshine. The generous pool deck has wonderful views of the Teix mountains and of the Puig de Deia topped by the ancient church of Saint Joan. You feel as though you are floating above the village but a secret path from below the property takes you into the heart of Deia in just a couple of minutes on foot.
The house was designed with a modern flare and hints of Deia charm throughout. If you are in search of something with more of a traditionally rustic vibe then fear not - this house could easily be adapted to suit the style you're searching for - it's the location, views and size of this house that really matter.
At the top of the property is a parking area for at least two cars. Down a couple of steps (or by taking the lift) you descend into the house proper through a secure gate and find yourself above the internal courtyard. A generous utility room, perfect for storing bikes, kayaks etc is on the left. On this level are three ensuite bedrooms all with wonderful views of the mountains and village.
Descending another few steps brings you to the grand master bedroom suite featuring a huge bath, beautifully crafted storage and an upstairs study area. Down again and another study (which could easily be converted into a fifth ensuite bedroom) awaits you along with access to the lawned garden. A couple more steps down and you arrive in the huge living/dining area divided by a cosy open fireplace in the centre. French windows lead you out onto the pool terrace and cinematic Deia views. On this floor is also the modern kitchen and pantry- a perfect space for family living or entertaining. The whole level is flooded with light from the central courtyard and French windows.
A lawned garden wraps around three sides of the property and pretty bougainvillaea provides a striking visual contrast. The large pool terrace has plenty of space for entertaining or al fresco dining in front of a spectacular backdrop. A lower terrace has a little lemon orchard and a private gate leads onto a secluded pathway into the centre of the village in just a couple of minutes. At the top of the house a generously sized parking area can accommodate at least two cars comfortably.
