Description: Sa Tanca is a traditional Mallorcan home in the High Deia area, stylishly renovated and recently refurbished to give it a fresh contemporary feel. The house is bright and spacious, cool in summer, and cosy in winter, and enjoys privacy, as well as all the perks of being centrally situated in the village. From the front terrace, meals can be savoured under a dazzling wisteria-covered pergola, overlooking Deia and the sea beyond. At the side of the property there is a pool, with a bright little lawn, ideal for sunbathing. This is the perfect place for bringing together loved ones; every shared living space has been designed to welcome the cheer and warmth of friends and family, with all Deia’s amenities and restaurants within walking distance.

Indoor layout: Entering the house you are welcomed by an open plan living and dining area with an adjacent large and well-equipped kitchen including an island unit. It looks out onto a wonderful shady courtyard eating area. The living area features a cosy snug around an open fireplace perfect for colder months. At the far end of the house is a comfy living room with a large TV and french windows out into the courtyard dining area. On the left of the entrance is a bathroom which leads right out onto the pool terrace making it a very convenient convenience!

In total there are 4 double bedrooms and an extra double room (available for an additional fee) with flexible sleeping arrangements. Each room has its own bathroom (with a fifth bathroom by the pool) and A/C, and are very light and spacious, all with beautiful views of the village. Four of the bedrooms are on the first floor, and 2 bathrooms have a bathtub. The master bedroom has its own balcony and panoramic views. One of the bedrooms is made up with twin beds ideal for children.

The house is open for bookings all year and in winter months the house has central heating as well as a cosy fireplace. Additionally, pool heating can be added for E400 a week. You can even curl up under the duvet and watch TV from the comfort of your king size bed!

Outdoor layout: You can enjoy the sun in the garden and terraces and stretch out by the generous salt-water 10m x 4m swimming pool with 8 sun loungers and pool towels included. From here you have incredible town, mountain and partial sea views. Sa Tanca also benefits from a large and beautiful courtyard area where you can fire up the barbecue and dine in the shade, escaping the heat of the day. The house has a parking area for up to 3 cars for your convenience. All the popular Deia restaurants and bars are just a short stroll away, but the house remains a peaceful and private oasis. The closest beach is Cala Deia: a popular rocky cove, a 10min drive away.

Minimum number of nights: 7 nights in high season with Friday to Friday check in/out. Available to rent all year round. The rental price includes a 3 hour mid-week clean.

“Having just returned from 10 days in Deia, we cannot recommend highly enough Charles Marlow and Bros. We were very keen, since it was off-season, to have the possibility of a cozy fire, central heating, and the ability to cook a few dinners. The house was handsome, traditional yet elegantly comfortable, beautifully equipped, and situated on the sunny side of the village, perched above the Belmond La Residencia. A perfect spot to sit in the sun on the terrace and watch the goings on in the village below.”
