As kids, my sister Chloe, brother Charlie and I would play a strange game. We each dreamt up our own business and built offices out of cardboard boxes. Our entrepreneurial spirit clearly kicked in at an early age.
My first job was at Deloitte, where I qualified as an accountant. I left there for a commercial finance position at BskyB and then went to Innocent Drinks for a more strategic and financial role. The opportunity to start Charles Marlow came up 18 months later.
Chloe, Charlie and I founded Charles Marlow because we fell in love with Mallorca, especially Deia. We spent some of our childhood in Southern California so sunshine and palm trees made us feel right at home.
We also saw a great opportunity to help people like us move to the island and live the laidback Mallorca lifestyle.

Ever since we started Charles Marlow almost a decade ago our approach has been simple: to treat our clients how we would want to be treated. So, we began by asking ourselves what we’d like to know at every stage of the process and what other support or advice we’d need ourselves, to make buying, selling or renting a home a satisfying experience.
Today, we have an excellent picture of what our clients really need from us.
It’s also very important to us to have someone living in the same area as the people we sell or rent houses to in the West Coast of Mallorca, or in Ibiza. Obviously, we want them to be thrilled with the overall experience of working with us. We’re absolutely committed to fairness and transparency in everything we do.
This sense of commitment to offering the best possible service is one of the things that really binds our team together. Individually, everyone is strong and brings just the right skills to their role but we’re also very close. I feel that this sets us apart seeing how close-knit and genuine we are as a team allows us to build lasting relationships with our clients. They can see ours isn’t just a transactional business. It’s something we’re hugely proud of.
The other thing is that all of us really love what we do. Buying a house is a monumental part of someone’s life that they’ll remember forever, especially if it’s in Deia or the West Coast of Mallorca. It’s a joy for us to support people at this time and to celebrate with them.

I’m proud to say that the growing number of satisfied customers we have reflects our dedication. We stay in touch with many of them, getting together at our annual parties in Deia. Word of mouth is always the best recommendation and our success reflects this.
Looking to the future, I want us to be the go-to real estate agency for Deia, the West Coast of Mallorca and Ibiza. I’m also really excited about the potential for our Charles Marlow Foundation to help us give back to the islands we love, to protect and preserve their beautiful environment and unique culture.
